Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level names remained operational.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the present domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finished. There are no special rules on who can secure a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
